William P. Lamas, D.M.D., M.S.

William P. Lamas, D.M.D., M.S. a native of South Florida, completed his college education at Barry University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his studies at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where he earned the degree Doctor of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, he received the American Academy of Periodontology Student Achievement Award; the highest honor given by the academy to a graduating dental student. Dr. Lamas went on to pursue specialization and advanced graduate studies in Periodontics and Dental Implants. He graduated and was certified as a specialist with a Master of Science degree from Baylor College of Dentistry-TAMUS. At Baylor he excelled as a post-doctorate resident and also contributed to teaching and mentoring pre-doctorate students.

Dr. Lamas returned home to Miami and accepted an academic position at the Miami VA Medical Center where he was in charge of the Periodontics and Implant Dentistry Program. Dr. Lamas continues to be active with organized dentistry and charitable organizations in an effort to promote gum disease awareness and oral health. He has held memberships in several organizations and was president of the South Florida District Dental Association. He continues to teach as an assistant clinical professor for the University of Florida College of Dentistry and lectures nationally on the latest advancements in Periodontics and Dental Implantology.

Presently, Dr. Lamas is fully engaged in delivering the very best and latest periodontal and dental implant treatments to his patients. Dr. Lamas enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children and all that South Florida living has to offer.
